Siemens PLM Software has started offering a free student edition of LMS Imagine.Lab Amesim. This software, the company states, will help students apply a model-based systems engineering approach and balance product performance in intelligent systems.
The company is also offering an LMS Imagine.Lab Amesim Educational Bundle designed for universities. This will give users access to an extensive range of the latest LMS Amesim libraries, application-oriented solutions and analysis tools.
The software includes libraries for mechanical, signal, hydraulic, pneumatic, thermal and electrics applications. It lets users connect validated components for multi-domain system modeling.
Analysis tools are available for linear analysis, power and energy calculations, batch runs, plotting facilities and dashboards.
Since the software is an open platform, it supports scripting facilities for MATLAB, Python, Visual Basic Application, Scilab and Modelica.
